汉盛资本于2006年12月牵头投资了2.4亿美元于银河娱乐集团有限公司（“银河”）(香港联合交易所股份编号0027)。在这项投资中，汉盛资本牵头投入了5千万美金，并带领美国的Fortress Investments，GSO Capital，和Canyon Capital在内的其他美国投资基金募集到了1亿9千万美金。银河透过旗下的银河娱乐场股份有限公司，是在澳門经营娱乐场、酒店及娱乐事业的領先企业之一，占有澳门赌博市场20％的市场份额。银河在澳门共经营5家赌场，且现在正着力兴建一家拥有2千5百个房间的新赌场。
在汉盛做出了第一笔投资后， 银河娱乐取得了利润300%的增长。
在2007年11月，全球最大的私募基金公司之一Permira Funds向银河投资了8亿4千万美金。而在它之前，汉盛资本对银河注入了9百万美金的第二轮投资。In December 2006, we led a round of US$240 million investment in Galaxy Entertainment (HKEX:0027). We invested $50m and led another $190 million from established U.S. equity partners including Fortress Investments, GSO Capital, and Canyon Capital. Galaxy currently runs 5 casinos in Macau and is building a new casino with 2,500 rooms. Galaxy has 20% of the market share in Macau’s casino business.
Galaxy profits have exceeded 300% over its original projection for 2007 since our investment.
In Nov 2007, Permira from London made an investment of $840 million. We made another $9million follow-on investment prior to Permira’s investment.
